In 1999 Mike Durazzo started the MDP soccer team which was a force in the Toms River indoor recreation station. In 12 seasons the MDP won 8 indoor championships. Mike's indoor teams continued to have success from 2003 to present. In 2014 Mike, along with his brother-in-Law Vasili Foukarakis, and teammate and friend Nick Tarquino started the Lions FC. Winning the Championship in their first season in the Ocean County Men's Soccer League in 2014. In 2017, Mike and life-long friend Rick Whelan teamed up with the Jackson Soccer Club to build one of the nation's best amateur teams. Mike played soccer for Toms River Soccer association and Monsignor Donovan High School. In 2019 Mike was named New Jersey Soccer Assocations Manager of the year. Mike also owns La Fontana Restaurant in Brick, NJ and Red Moon Pizza in Howell, NJ. Mike and his wife Victoria live in Toms River, NJ with their 3 kids: Dolce, Layla, and Max. His son Max is a player with PDA Shore.
